First words from Dream.

"Rope him in closer," Namjoon says, and Jeongguk adjusts the ropes. The shape slumped in the chair is flickering, human to something darker, more slippery, and the ropes are slick on his fingers even as the rough fibres catch on his dry skin, stinging.
"Ouch," Jeongguk says, as a line of red springs up on his skin; he's already raising his finger to his mouth to suck the book away when Namjoon stops him suddenly, reaching his hand over faster than Jeongguk could track with his eyes, fingers tight around his wrist.
"Don't!" Namjoon says, and it's the worry in his eyes more than the tone of his voice that makes Jeongguk listen, even though he knows he's stronger than Namjoon by now, could shake him off easily if he wanted to.
"What's wrong?" he asks, watching the red welling up on his skin, and the figure in the chair laughs, flickering into a woman's face, red lips stretched in ugly mirth before it's an oversized baby with a cabbage head, flickering into a worm.
"The slime got into the cut," Namjoon says quietly, and Jeongguk realizes that it's true. There's a line of green stretching out from the thin abrasion cut by now, slowly creeping along his veins back to his heart.
He blinks, watching the creeping green; it's like he's in a trance. His finger is numb, the feeling growing as it slides towards his heart. Is this it?
Jeongguk is startled, then, when Namjoon steps forward, brings the finger up to his eyes.
"Do you trust me?" he asks, and Jeongguk nods. Of course. He isn't prepared, though, for Namjoon to lower his mouth to Jeongguk's finger and start sucking at the wound.
"What—?" he starts to say, and that's when the pain sets in, as his knees buckle involuntarily and it's only Namjoon's arm that saves him from hitting the ground.
